Concurrent Enrollment

The Valley Program is not a Home School. We are here to support your high school with your path to graduation, but you will still be enrolled at (and graduate with) your home high school.  This is called concurrent enrollment, meaning that students are enrolled at both the home school and Valley.

Requests for all concurrent enrollment options, including Valley, must be made through the student’s home school counseling office. There is a process for referrals which counselors will discuss with students and families when deciding which concurrent enrollment option is the best choice to meet the student’s needs.

Work Experience

Students may earn credit while earning money! Students must complete required forms and have a job (minimum of 20 hours weekly).  Hours must be documented through official business payroll records, i.e. pay stubs which are to be turned in to the Valley School secretary. Students may not work for family members.  Work Experience credit is limited to three elective credits per school year.  Students earn .5 general elective credit for every 60 hours worked.
