Enrollment Process

To become a Valley student, the following criteria must be met:

🏫 D51 Enrollment Required

Students must be enrolled at their home high school within Mesa County Valley School District 51 and will graduate from their home school.

🔄 Concurrent Enrollment

Valley is not a full-day program. Students are enrolled at both their home high school and Valley, creating a flexible path to graduation.

📅 Apply Through Your Counselor

Students should meet with their home school counselor to begin the application and referral process for Valley.

🧭 Guided Placement

Counselors work with students and families to determine if Valley is the best fit and to explore schedule options, including electives, concurrent enrollment, or work experience.

🧩 Complete Your Schedule

Students will work with their counselor to fill the remainder of their day with classes, Career Center options, or work-based learning.

🗓️ Quarter-Based Start Dates

Referrals are accepted throughout the year, with new students starting at the beginning of each quarter.
